Rainy night outside, and the temp inside was a very warm 78 degrees.

First let me say we were happy and proud to be the first recorded paranormal group to investigate the Theater.

*The initial Investigation on the 5th will be included in a separate report.*

In this evaluation as we found out later upon reviewing the evidence this theater has visitors.

The State Theater was built in 1927 by Col. Butterfield to add to his theater chain in Michigan. The theater itself served as a vaudeville stop to many famous and not so famous acts of the day, it also played first run Hollywood pictures and served as a stage and focal community events gathering from the twenties right up through the early sixties.

We set up our infrared cameras on the stage, in the balcony, in the dressing rooms below the stage and in the basement areas. All of these had been used and seen many days of activity, as well as being reported by the management as hot spots of possible paranormal activity. The group was divided into teams of two and three with specific areas to cover, Dan, Jon, and Kevin set up on stage for the live radio broadcast on Dark plains radio.

The nights investigation was filled with personal experiences and very active responses, our evidence review shows the State Theater to be very haunted and with some negative intelligent spirits as well, not so much in the sense as evil? Just not so cordial as to our visit into their space…lol we have found many EVPS that are of a singing woman, a little girl, and even a possibility of circus acts and animal noises?. We discovered from “Tom Kiebach” the theater manager that they indeed in the day had circus acts in the state theater! Which explains the EVPS we collected on stage? Overall it was a wonderful investigation!

Some of the personal experiences include some of the female investigators having their hair stroked, and even a pinch...lol, “Manny” had his camera knocked from his hand right in front of several investigators, Dan and Denise experienced talking and loud footsteps in the upper dressing room hallways and no one was there? During the live broadcast we had our investigator “Randy Waltz” on the phone from the basement and on live through our system…during his EVP session in the storage room in the basement, he asked if anyone was there and did they mind his teams presence?...well we caught a voice live! Over the air respond with “GET OUT”….this was fantastic...the audience also heard this. The experience was a first for us.

The final evaluation stands! “We believe the State Theater to be haunted in both residual and in very intelligent paranormal activity; we look forward to future investigations of this historic site as the management has made it a yes for us to return.
